I was told Arnold was going to stop by, but he never showed up. Instead, I guess one of his floozies did, and she kicked us out of the house while she did her extermination of the killer android ants. We were told to begone ourselves from our abode for the count of twice one hour, so we decided to see a movie. On the way there, we got lunch, and my father asked my mom if she'd want something to drink, to which she replied, "Vodka martini on the rocks with a splash of grapefruit juice." As I thought of that, I remembered this home movie we saw a few years ago of my parents when they were younger, about 30 years ago. My oldest brother stephen was just a baby tot in tote, and they were at this party. The camera zooms in on my mom giving my brother some wine while everyone was watching and laughing. He had about 4-5 sips. Back to the present, I jokingly ask my parents if they were heavy drinkers. I probably shouldn't of, they described some scary stuff. They said when they had dinner parties it was normal to have a few gin and tonics before dinner, both red and white wine for dinner, and some sort of desert liquor afterwards. That was described as medium-light drinking. I wonder what the norm is nowadays?
The final matrix movie was slightly better than I anticipated. I anticipated a 2, and this ranked about a 2.04. The two sequels are like this: you have a really old loved one who is dying of a painful disease, and everyone knows the best thing to do is to pull the plug, but the decrepit body keeps whimpering not to kill it. Ok that was a lot more depressing than it needed to be. How about this, the two sequels are like finding out you have a twin brother in Australia, but when you go to meet him it turns out he's gay and attracted to you.
Actually I'm just disappointed there wasn't another massive smith fight, as the previews led us to believe. Instead it's some dragonballesque fight scene which was disastrously lame. In fact, all the fight scenes were. The second one had some pretty cool scenes, such as the highway and the big smith battle, which barely made it worth seeing. The third one had nothing redeeming. The french guy wasn't even funny this time, although his accent made me laugh. The ending made my eyebrow twitch. The only thing I liked was the credits music which I'm sure will be the inspiration to a tune at some point. At least now I can rest easy, reassured that sequels still aren't worth paying for. (Except for Legolas in LotR, he's so hunky!)
