The Chronicles of Home Despot

Barb and I finally made it to Home Despot. Last week we tried, but the directions lead us in a giant circle of despair leading back to point A. Yesterday, we thought to call the store directly to get specific directions. And again, they led us in a giant circle of despair back to point A. However! Instead of giving up, we reversed the directions and assumed they thought we were coming from the opposite direction. Aha! Victory. And yet, Home Despot didn't have the carpet or floor or ceiling lamps she desired. We still called it a success, however, because we have defeated the evil monsters of misinformation and misguidance.

I'm also a fan of Chili's. Buffalo wings. Southwest Eggrolls. Some sort of mountain of chocolate thing, molten? Margaritas. I may have mentioned all this before, but like grains of sand through an hourglass, so slips the memories of my mind.

Oh, I'm also a fan of Narnia, which we saw. The best part of the movie for us was when the older sister and the younger sister were playing in the water, splashing about, because the younger sister said that the older one wasn't any fun anymore. AND! The older sister said, "Oh really?" At which point I turned to Barbara and shot daggers out of my eyes and was filled with hate, because she is a big fan of saying O RLY, which I will only accept as slightly funny on rare occasions of intoxication, even though it's terribly endearing when she says it and grins evilly at me because she knows how much those words make my body explode in torrents of pain. Anyway. What? Yeah, so it was a good film despite that or for it, either way.

Robert is always correct when he says one gets what one deserves for seeing a children's film on opening weekend in the late afternoon. There were diapers, filled and in the process of filling. There were children of all ages asking questions and chewing on popcorn and ice. One cute lass turned to B at the beginning and let her know just how scared she was during a certain scary scene. It was a good film despite all this or for it, either way.

"Woah, horsie." "My *name* is Philip." Hah hah! I laughed.
