Royale Rumble

Just watched Casino Royale.

I'm a little confused, a little sad, and a little sickened.

Why did they think it was ok to make this film?

What didn't you like about it?

And why are all my comments moderated?

Crabby:

Slow, uninteresting plot, nothing funny/quirky, no Q, no gadgets. People say it harks back to the originals, which I missed, well then that's fine. Then you'll love this one. But James Bond to me has always been ridiculous fun and light hearted humor mixed in with lots of explosions. Granted I've only seen about 6, the last 6.

This one had Nutsack torture. Nutsack torture people. It wasn't FUN to watch. It wasn't enjoyable. I didn't enjoy watching someone drown in a realistic manner - with eyes wide, arms flailing, mouth gulping in water trying to breathe it, then twitching to death.

This movie had little to do with the James Bond that -I- know. Maybe this is the James Bond -you- knew. But this film made me walk away feeling sick and sad, instead of laughing at how silly the whole thing was.

Maybe they needed a disclaimer: Warning, if you enjoyed the last 6 James Bonds, and are expecting something campy and fun like them, please don't see this film.

Oh! Comments are moderated because the only way I can "trust" commenters is if they sign up for TypePad or TypeKey or whatever. It's some weird authorization program that I may end up making all of you use, if the day delay between comments and posts gets to be annoying.

So how do I get one of those typekey whatever thingies?
