Heading to see Evil Dead: THE MUSICAL tonight in Toronto. Last night in preparation, we watched the first and second one. I always thought I had seen the first but I didn't remember any of it, though I remembered a lot of the second. Bloody brilliant films. Both excellently wonderful films, and then of course the third one is pure sublime tequila squirt in your eye - your eye digests things if you didn't know.
Right now we're getting our piano tuned - by a blind man! You can't tell these things on the phone, and after negotiating a time and fee, how can you say no when he asks if it's ok if he brings his seeing eye dog? I don't think it's legal to say no! Or maybe that's just if I'm an employer. I have nothing against blind people, and I'm all for encouraging them to tune my pianos... but there's a difference between doing something for 5 hours by ear, and doing it in 45 minutes with an electric device that tells you the exact pitch and frequency you're pounding out.
And the difference is I want to encourage blind people tuning my piano by ear. So, all ye blind people reading this - come tune my piano in 6 months!
