My new boy

Today we adopted Pedro. He's a lovely child, full of life, very energetic. Absolutely a blessing. We're so glad to have him.

We met him in a park, he was playing on the swings with two other nice girls. He came over and started playing with Holden's bulldozer, saying how fun it was. I guess he doesn't have many toy bulldozers in Brazil. Maryl and I were playing frisbee, and Pedro came over and happily exclaimed to me, "I know how to play frisbee!" I said, "That's wonderful! Would you like to give it a go!" - this was completely unnecessary, because at this point he had already grabbed it out of my hands and was tossing the disc to dear Maryl. Maryl happily grabbed the disc and threw it back - but Pedro was worried! He let me in on a secret - he can only THROW the disc, NOT catch it!

Poor Pedro.

We left him there... at the park.. so sad, so lonely, so hungry. We'll miss you Pedro, and wish you the best in life with your friends and your "family", whoever they are, wherever they are, and whenever they came to pick you up. Keep on truckin', and livin' the good life.
