We've found a pretty good car today: a toyota corolla, 2002, 60kk on it. kk? 60 thousand kilometers, all for under $12k (including taxes!). Drives well, looks good, feels good, could be Mr. Right.
I still remember my first car - Rob and Steve came along to help negotiate with me. Rob talked them down, they came back with a HIGHER price, Rob would talk them down more, they'd come back with an EVEN HIGHER PRICE, and eventually we threatened to simply walk out and we got the price we wanted. ... and steve ended up buying it for me. That was a fairly good first run for me, and this time I was glad to have the experience and wisdom from my older brother's hovering over my shoulders like an invisible spectre of christmas.
Need to look over a few more things, but tomorrow we may just get it! Maybe friday... Maryl's car still runs, it just has a silly problem with engines catching on fire?
